Apex Legends Challenges You To Deal Over 3k Damage With The Mozambique

The Apex Legends Anniversary Collection Event is here, and celebrating two-years of battle royale action! Respawn Entertainment's 2019 title is about to celebrate in style, with a new limited-time mode, challenges, skins, rewards, and more.

From February 9 to 23, Apex invites you to join the party, fulfil challenges, earn rewards, and complete one outrageous task in particular - deal 3,333 damage with the Mozambique.

The most-memed (and possibly worst) weapon in the game, the Mozambique shotgun, offers a paltry four shots, dealing minuscule damage each time (even with the Hammerpoint Hop-Up, be real).

Completing this frankly appalling challenge will grant you with a "Mozambique Here" weapon charm, so you can always imagine Lifeline's pinging voice line as you play.

Let's do the math on this one. How many shots would you need to land with the Mozam to complete the 3,333 damage challenge?

Imagine your opponent is not "fortified" or "low-profile", and every shot is a headshot (sans Hammerpoint), that amounts to 52 damage per shot, assuming the enemy has a level 3 or 4 helmet. This means you'd have to land a grand total of 64 headshots with the shotgun to complete the task. Seems doable, right? We're not convinced.

Respawn's earlier title Titanfall 2, a first-person shooter with a campaign and multiplayer modes, included the Mozam, and it was by all accounts - not a bad gun.

Players have already taken to Twitter to express their confusion, disgust, and hilarity of the challenge.

If you think you have what it takes to become Mozambique royalty, hop into Apex Legends between February 9 and 23, grab the Mozam, and start shooting (just aim for the head).
