Receiving your first Heirloom in Apex Legends is a glorious moment, as you've either had to wait until your 500th pack, or you've got extremely lucky.
Either way, getting your hands on a set of shards is an incredible feeling, and unless you're willing to spend a lot of money, it's not going to happen very often.
Well, there's a rare bug in Apex that's spoiling the fun Heirlooms completely at the moment - robbing competitors of what they deserve.
Instead of being given shards or even a base Heirloom, players are opening packs with just a Mythic pose inside.
Apex Legends player gets cheated out of Heirloom with pack bug
Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Innan_ decided to showcase a clip of them opening a pack and receiving a "Mythic pose and nothing else."
Despite opening the loot box and seeing the trademark red flash for Heirloom Shards, Innan_ was instead gifted an Epic Octane skin, common Metals, and Bloodhound "Glory Hound" Mythic pose.
With no Heirloom in sight, there's no doubt this is a bug with the system, as no one is supposed to unlock the pose on its own.
As you would expect, Innan_ was left speechless at the situation which shouldn't be possible based on Respawn's system. Let's hope this glitch doesn't become common and the devs can fix it because it's guaranteed to outrage anyone affected.
Apex Legends fans concerned this glitch resets 500 pack guarantee for Heirlooms
The biggest question on everyone's mind after seeing the clip was, will receiving the Mythic pose reset your 500-pack counter? If it does, this would be disastrous for anyone who's been saving for countless days in an attempt to finally earn an Heirloom.
"Well now you just have to open another 500 packs to get the voice line," joked one player, with another saying "I'm nearly certain this is a bug, I hope you get it exchanged for 150 shards if not just fully gifted."
It's not uncommon for devs to respond to threads like this when issues arise, but for now, no one from Respawn has shown their face.
Fingers crossed Innan_ gets fully reimbursed because this is a glitch that's guaranteed to frustrate any longtime Apex fan.
