Xbox Games Showcase is happening this Summer, giving Microsoft the opportunity to show us what its studios have been working on. Xbox has quite a bit of ground to make up with regard to exclusive games, making these showcases a big opportunity for something new and exciting.

Here is everything we currently know about the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase for Summer 2023.

We know for certain what the date for the show is, but the time is yet to be announced. Xbox Game Showcase will kick off on Sunday, 11 June. This places the showcase right in between Summer Games Fest and E3.

Exactly what time it starts is not known, as mentioned, but the time that it ends will be very important to know for Starfield fans.

We recently got the unfortunate news that Starfield has been delayed from early this year until 6 September. This news came in tandem with the announcement of Starfield Direct, a second showcase after the Xbox Games Showcase dedicated to Starfield.

Fans can expect a Bethesda presence among these two shows, but it seems that the Starfield showcase is dedicated to that one game, so if there is no Elder Scrolls 6 news in the Xbox Games Showcase, don't expect it from the Starfield Direct.

Apart from the mentioned Starfield, nothing has been confirmed for 11 June. The recent Developer_Direct featured Redfall, Minecraft and the surprise announcement and release of HiFi Rush, a smaller but still very successful event. Considering the time of year that this showcase is happening, it seems safe to assume that big things are planned.

That said, Xbox has not had the best track record in recent years, so it is best to temper expectations. Xbox has plenty of irons in the fire, such as the new Fable game that has been quiet since the announcement, so the potential for big announcements is high.

That is it for the Xbox Game Showcase. For all the news and info you need, be sure to stick with us at GGRecon.
