Perk slots in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are an incredibly important resource and using them correctly can make you significantly more powerful. While perks will never be as satisfying as unlocking a new ability, their passive effects can be invaluable over the course of your journey as Cal Kestis.

Of course, you're limited to three perk slots at the start of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which can be frustrating when there are so many useful perks to equip. So, let's check out exactly how perks slots work and where you can unlock more.

What are Perk slots?

Perks slots can be filled with a variety of perks that offer different passive bonuses for Cal throughout his journey.

However, it's worth noting that each perk does not always take up a single slot. Depending on their power, a perk can take up multiple slots and as you only begin your adventure with three perk slots, it's key you choose wisely.

Remember, you can customize and change your perk choices at any time, but you will need to visit a Meditation Point to do so. With so many exciting perks to choose from, players will want to earn extra perk slots and luckily, there's a way to get more.

How to unlock more Perk slots

In order to efficiently unlock new Perk slots, you'll want to complete all seven Jedi Chambers. Doing so will unlock a map upgrade for all your planets that can be activated at the Alignment Control Center Meditation Point which is found in Chapter 5.

Once all seven are completed, BD-1 will be able to slice a nearby device to upgrade your planet maps with all essence locations, which include perk slots.

Following this, simply head to the locations below which are marked on your upgraded map to claim your perk slot rewards:

  1. Complete the Path of Persistence puzzle on Jedha
  2. Complete the Path of Restoration puzzle on Jedha
  3. Complete the Path of Conviction puzzle on Jedha
  4. Complete Nekko puzzle on Koboh at Harvest Ridge
  5. Perk slot located in Smuggler's Tunnel: Travel to Harvest Ridge, then use the Relter mount perched on cliffs to glide towards Pyloon's Saloon. Look for a building with an open rooftop by the water and dash through the green laser wall to claim this perk slot
  6. Fast travel to Derelict Dam Meditation Point: Head directly forward to the giant creature and you'll see a platform opposite the animal that you can use the force to pull down. Follow along the ledge until you see a cliff and you'll need to move a nearby sphere to burn away the Koboh Dust. Next, use Roller Mine to blow down the cave entrance and use the wall run ability to reach the perk slot
  7. Purchase perk slot from Zee in Pyloon's Saloon for 10 Datadiscs

In total, players can acquire 10 perk slots on their journey through the galaxy as they begin with three and seven can be found while exploring. Collecting all perk slots will reward you with the Perks of the Job trophy achievement.
