The Splitgate Olympus race is the latest race-focused weekly challenge in Splitgate: Arena Warfare and players are even having trouble starting it, let alone completing it. It's no surprise though, since all of the Splitgate races are tucked away in a menu that is hard to find if you don't know where to look. Whether you're wondering how to begin the Splitgate Olympus race, how to complete it, or how to try and beat the world record, we've got all the info you need to know on the Splitgate Olympus race right here.

All races in Splitgate are the same concept; collect all of the orbs. There are no guns enabled in this mode, as it's just yourself hurtling through each of the multiplayer maps, finding the quickest path to complete the challenge. You don't need to beat a certain time or make it onto the leaderboard either thankfully, all you need to do is complete the race, whether it takes you 30 seconds or 30 minutes.

The location of the orb will always be pointed out by a yellow icon on your HUD, so you don't have to spend too much time exploring the map to find it. Make sure to utilise your portals and jetpack to reach the orb in each location too; you don't need to pick it up or anything, just touch it. When you've hit them all, the race will complete, and you can collect the XP earned from the challenge.

To find the Splitgate Olympus race, from the lobby screen, head to Training at the top. It feels almost disingenuous to put the races under a training category because most people won't look there, and they deserve their own option, but that's where you'll find them.

Select race on the far left, then cycle through the maps until you find Olympus. There's typically a Splitgate race challenge in every single set of weekly challenges, so remember this in future when you're wondering where to go, or if you fancy a break from the combat-fuelled arena and fancy some parkour instead.

Splitgate Olympus Race: World Record Tips

As you can see from the image above, I'm not quite at world record level, with a time of just over three minutes. There are some simple tips you can employ though:

Always look for a portal surface

As long as the next orb isn't right next to you, have a look for a portal surface somewhere closer to the next location. It's always quicker to travel through two portals than it is to run.

Remember what your last portal was

This is just a general tip for Splitgate, but remember which portal was your last. There's nothing worse than going back through your portal only to realise the one you've placed is the wrong one, ending up in a completely different spot to where you intended.

Utilise the triple portal

This is a bit more of an advanced technique, but triple (or quadruple) portals are where you essentially stand inside your portal and fire more off, so you only need to take small sidesteps to acquire the orb. Mastering this is key to getting the sub-minute times.

Above is a run from TobyRepellant, the person who at the time of writing, is at the top of most Splitgate race leaderboards, which shows just how much practice is needed. If all you want to do is complete the challenge though, then any time is absolutely fine.
