Moondew Nectar is most found in Starlight Strand Island. To unlock this area of the map you'll first need to feed the Cotton Gordo and defeat it. The Cotton Gordo is located in the southwest region of Rainbow Island, west of the Conservatory. To defeat it, simply feed it enough veggies to explode. You can encourage this further by feeding it its favourite veggie, Water Lettuce.

Moondew Nectar appears only during nightfall next to the blue flowers of the region. The nectar will fall from the flowers as blue luminescent blobs. Once you've collected Moondew Nectar you can feed it to your Flutter Slimes. As this is their favourite food, they will produce double the plorts, which you can trade in for Newbucks.

You won't be able to plant Nectar at the home base, so you'll have to plan your resource runs accordingly.

Flutter Slimes look like monarch butterflies and can be found in the Starlight Strand Island along with the Moondew Nectar needed to feed them. If you're planning on keeping Flutter Slimes at your base you'll need to craft air nets on the corrals to stop them from escaping. Flutter Slimes will eat any Nectar but prefer Moondew Nectar as their favourite food of choice.

Flutter Slimes are also one of the five new slime species to arrive with Slime Rancher 2.
