Rare Tech Parts are essential in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for crafting various suits and gadgets, as well as upgrading gadgets and your Suit Tech abilities. However, with various side activities in the game rewarding different resources, it can be hard to track which will give you the rewards you need.

So, let’s dive right into how to find Rare Tech Parts in Marvel’s Spider-Man so you can keep on crafting your suits and gadgets.

How to get Rare Tech Parts in Marvel's Spider-Man 2

You’ll be able to find Rare Tech Parts in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 as you earn district progress by stopping crimes and completing side activities to reach the first tier of each district - earning you 2 x Rare Tech Parts each. That’s in addition to Prowler Stashes, Unidentified Targets, and Hunter Blinds side activities, which are made available on the map as you discover them, with the following amounts of Rare Tech Parts and other rewards you get for each mission:

  • Prowler Stashes - 3 x Rare Tech Parts, 300XP each
  • Unidentified Targets - 4 x Rare Tech Parts and 900XP each
  • Hunter Blinds - 5 x Rare Tech Parts, 150 x Tech Parts, and 1000XP each

Each activity appears to reward more Rare Tech Parts accordingly in line with the time and effort required for each task. Compared to Prowler Stashes for example, where you merely need to solve a quick and easy puzzle with the occasional small combat encounter, Hunter Blinds are longer and more intense brawls where you take on a bunch of Hunters in each of these bases.

My recommendation is that completing Prowler Stashes is the quickest way to find Rare Tech Parts if you’re looking to obtain just enough for a single unlock like a gadget upgrade or a particular Spider-Man suit you’re after.

However, if you’re grinding to power up your arsenal in Spider-Man 2 to make combat easier by having more gadgets and ability upgrades, you should prioritise Hunter Blinds to get the most Rare Tech Parts to start - also granting you more XP to level up faster and earn more skills as well, plus regular Tech Parts to craft even more suits, gadgets, and upgrades.

Another way to get extra Rare Tech Parts in Spider-Man 2 is by finding yellow Hunter Tech Crates. As opposed to regular blue-light crates where criminals have stashed regular Tech Parts throughout the city, the crates with the golden lights - belonging to the Hunters - will provide one or two Tech Parts each

When you first start the game, though, you can only find Tech Crates by looking out for their shining blue or yellow light from up above since they won't appear on your map. To help make things easier, be sure to unlock the "All Seeing" Traversal Suit Tech upgrade - revealing the locations of all types of Tech Crates on your minimap.

Whilst the yellow-lit Tech Crates with Rare Tech Parts still can't be found on your main map, you'll be able to spot them easier whilst web-swinging by looking out for the gold crate icon on your map.

That’s everything you need to know about how to find Rare Tech Parts in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
