Nightingale did not include an offline mode in its recent early access launch, but that could change in the near future. With the focus of Nightingale on cooperative online play, an offline mode evidently was not in the cards.

It seems that enough fans of the game want to see an offline function, as word of this outcry has reached the developer. While we don't yet know when it will happen, it does seem like an offline mode is coming to Nightingale 'as soon as feasible'.

Fans clamour for Nightingale offline mode

In these early days of Nightingale's early access life, the game has been received favourably. Many are enjoying this early version so far, but a decent number of fans have been asking questions about an offline mode.

As it stands, the game requires a constant connection to play. This was done to facilitate co-op play from day one, an important feature of this survival/crafting game. While an offline mode wasn't confirmed ahead of launch, clearly the fan response on the topic has put a spotlight on the issue.

In a recent post on its website, developer Inflexion Games noted the popular discussions online around an offline mode for the game, and stated it is "prioritising and developing an offline mode that we plan to release as soon as feasible".

With this news, it seems likely that the mode will be coming sooner rather than later. Although no time frame has been given, the post goes on to ask fans to keep an eye out for "updates in the coming weeks". If nothing else, at least we can rest somewhat assured that Nightingale is not yet another online-only game fated to disappear one day when the servers are shut down.

That is everything we currently know about Nightingale's upcoming offline mode. For more, head to our Nightingale homepage where we have guides like how to get the Antiquarian card, or how to farm infinite Essence Dust.
