Fixing the NBA error code 4b538e50 is a case of ensuring that the latest data for the game is successfully downloaded.

On PC, Xbox, or PlayStation, you’ll need to head to your console dashboard (or Steam Library) and press the options button on NBA 2K24. Look for an option that resembles “Verify integrity of game files”, “Verify”, “Repair”, or “Update”. This will scan your game install to ensure that the latest files have all been downloaded.

For those playing on Nintendo Switch, 2K recommends shutting down your console completely and then booting it back up again:
