While the console and PC players are getting ready to hop into the game on September 8, 2023, the Switch players are still wondering whether NBA 2K24 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Keep reading our guide as we delve deeper into NBA 2K24's release on Nintendo Switch while going over its different editions and the game's history with the Switch platform.

The short answer is yes! Players can play the NBA 2K24 on Nintendo Switch, as confirmed by 2K Games and the official FAQ page. This doesn't come as a surprise, considering the franchise has a long history with Nintendo Switch.

Back in 2020, NBA 2K21 was released on Nintendo Switch. Following that, we got the release of NBA 2K22 and NBA 2K23 on Nintendo Switch, which aligned with their respective global release date.

That said, while NBA 2K24 is coming to Nintendo Switch, the 25th Anniversary Edition of the game will not be available to Switch owners as it is exclusive to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms.

NBA 2K24 is releasing four different editions: the Kobe Bryant Edition, which just includes the base game; the Black Mamba Edition; the 25th Anniversary Edition, and the special WNBA Edition featuring the cover image of Sabrina Ionescu exclusive to the residents of the U.S. and Canada.

Of the four, only the first two, Kobe Bryant Edition, priced at £59.99/$59.99, and Black Mamba Edition, priced at £89.99/$99.99, will be released on Nintendo Switch.

Even though the Nintendo Switch is an inferior console on the hardware side compared to other platforms, the Kobe Bryant and the Black Mamba Editions will be the same on each platform, apart from a few visual changes you will see in the Nintendo Switch version.

That concludes our guide on whether NBA 2K24 will come to Nintendo Switch. Also, check out our guide to the best-rated players in NBA 2K24 so you can stay ahead of the competition. For more on NBA 2K24, keep reading GGRecon.
