Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Release Date

The official Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 release date is October 28, 2022. This is slightly earlier than the usual Call Of Duty releases as these tend to be launched in early November. This will, however, will be music to the ears of those wanting a fresh Call Of Duty experience.

As is the usual case with Call of Duty releases, you can preorder the new Modern Warfare 2 and receive early access to the open beta.

With the recent trailer reveal on June 8 we finally have a proper reveal trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. It shows an increased focus on team play, especially in the campaign, and is accompanied by the tagline: the ultimate weapon is team.

The trailer also firmly cements the release date of October 28, and fully shows off returning characters like Captain Price, Soap, and Ghost.

Is Taskforce 141 in Modern Warfare 2?

We had a hint towards it in the original artwork trailer for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 but the global reveal trailer and Steam game description has confirmed it, stating that it 'features the return of the iconic Operators of Task Force 141'. Operators include Captain John Price, Simon “Ghost” Riley, John “Soap” MacTavish, Kyle 'Gaz' Garrick, and introducing Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is set to release on all current and past gen consoles, including Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.

We also have official confirmation that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is not only coming to Battle.net on PC, but also returning to Steam for the first time since Call of Duty WWII which is fairly big news.
