Finding the Waterways dead drop in MW2 DMZ is part of the Break Check faction mission, which comes with three specific objectives to meet:

  • Locate the Crash site near the Observatory.
  • Find and extract the hard drive near the crash site.
  • Drop the hard drive in the Waterways Dead drops in Ashika Island.

For the first part of the mission, you will need to head toward the Observatory on Al Mazrah, and find the crash site. This is located toward the south of the Observatory POI, on the eastern side road that leads up the mountain.

You should notice the overturned car that's on fire in the middle of the road, and you can find the Hard Drive inside, then extract with it.

After you've collected the Hard Drive, you must add the Hard Drive to your inventory and hop into the Ashika Island map to deliver it to the Waterways dead drop.

You will find the Waterways dead drop in a tunnel near Port Ashika (highlighted above). To reach the dead drop location, start a DMZ match on the Ashika Island map and make your way towards the south part of the map to Port Ashika.

Once you are at the tunnel entrance, stick to the right side and carefully clear out any enemies you come across.

Eventually, you will reach a big room with the dumpster dead drop, which is found on the right side near a stone wall. Interact with it and move the Ashika Hard Drive to the dead drop to complete the challenge and finish the Break Check faction mission.

That concludes our guide on where to find The Waterways dead drop location in Modern Warfare 2. For more on MW2 DMZ, keep reading GGRecon.
