Missions in MW2 DMZ are getting increasingly complex but the rewards they offer are definitely worth it. So, if you want to take on the Salvager mission, make sure to read this guide as it will help you do just that.

How do you complete the Salvager mission?

The Salvager mission is a Tier 2 faction mission for Crown. This mission has two objectives for you to complete:

  • Extract the 3 contraband packages from the sunken ships in Al Mazrah in one deployment
  • Extract the 2 contraband packages from the sunken ships in Ashika Island in one deployment

So, carry on reading below in order to complete each objective of the Salvager mission.

How to find the contraband packages in Al Mazrah

For the Salvager mission in MW2 DMZ, there are three contraband packages on the sunken ships in Al Mazrah that you'll have to find and extract.

The first contraband package is located on the ship wreckage at Sawah Village. The contraband package is located on a small metal table on the second level. The area is full of AI combatants so you will have to be very careful. The best way to reach this location is by sea.

The second contraband package is located on the sunken ship southeast of Sawah Village, at the D8 coordinates of the map. When you are on the ship, enter through the left-hand side of the main entrance and you'll find a room immediately at the right. The contraband package is under the stack of desks located there.

The third contraband package is at a sunken ship in the E8 coordinates of the map, southeast of the previous sunken ship. It is completely underwater, so you will need to dive down a few times to get properly locate it. When you do find the sunken ship, the contraband package is located on the outer part of the ship.

After you have acquired all three contraband packages in the same deployment, you will have to extract them.

How to find the contraband packages in Ashika Island

There are two contraband packages you will have to find on Ashika Island in MW2 DMZ. Luckily, they are both in the same location.

The first contraband package can be found in the Shipwreck area of Ashika Island, on the sunken ship in the south. It is one where there are a lot of containers nearby. The contraband package is located in the middle part of the ship which is underwater.

The second contraband package is found on the northern ship in the Shipwreck area. The contraband package is located just at the front.

Then, just like with Al Mazrah, you will have to extract them. Once you complete the mission you will be rewarded with 7500 XP and the Wavebreaker vehicle skin.
