How to find the gold guns in MW2 Campaign

Who doesn't love a bit of bling, huh? Well, in Call of Duty the biggest flex is a golden gun, which indicates that you've mastered the weapon alongside showing off a sleek and cool design. Yet, they've scarcely appeared in campaigns, and rather have been reserved for multilayer. Not anymore though, as the Modern Warfare 2 campaign gold guns can be found in abundance.

Where are the gold guns in the MW2 Campaign?

So far, there have been two places where you can find gold guns in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign, both in different missions.

1 - Recon By Fire

The first time that you'll come across the shiny armory is in the Recon By Fire mission, where players will enjoy sniping their way through the long grass and finally finding a crate full of cash and guns.

This location is an objective for all players, but instead of running off with your sniper, you can find both the golden AK-74 and Desert Eagle propped against the cartel cash piles. 

2 - El Sin Nombre

The second location is in Diego's house in the mission El Sin Nombre, although both guns are in separate locations. The gold Kastov 762 can be found within the garage armory, propped up on the right-hand side.

As for the gold .50 GS, this can be found in the upstairs shrine room where Diego himself can be killed. Killing Diego will drop his golden Desert Eagle, which can be looted off his body. Within the same room, you'll also find a silenced X12 with the platinum camo equipped. Another Desert Eagle can also be found in Diego's bedroom, on his bedside table.

What are the gold guns in Modern Warfare 2?

Throughout the Modern Warfare 2 campaign, you'll get a variety of guns to try and test out while fragging your way to new objectives and saving civvies from another gruesome dictator. Whether it's snipers in the All Ghillied Up 2 mission or assault rifles with daft holo sights, there's always something new to wield.

However, if you want to add some style points to some missions, you can find gold guns in selected missions. The golden camo is expected to be one of the mastery camos in multiplayer too, and you can see it a few times in the campaign.

So far, players have found the following gold guns within the Modern Warfare 2 campaign:

• Kastov 762 (AK-47)
• .50 GS (Desert Eagle)

There are likely a few more Easter eggs to uncover, although these are the only known MW2 campaign gold gun locations so far.
