How to enter the sweepstakes in Metroid Prime
You may want to know how to join the Metroid Prime sweepstakes, as it lets participants earn special prizes based on the game.
Metroid Prime is one of the most iconic metroidvanias of all time, earning a tonne of acclaim and commercial success back when it launched. If you're enjoying the new remaster or are looking forward to playing it, why not also try your luck at getting some prizes?

How to join the Metroid Prime sweepstakes
To enter the sweepstakes you will need to use your My Nintendo account and spend some Platinum Points (which can be earned easily for free), however, you will need to ensure you're eligible first.
Firstly, the sweepstake is only open to people over the age of 13, who are residents of either the United States or Canada, excluding the province of Quebec. If you are under 18, you will also need a parent's permission.
The sweepstakes began on February 9, and are set to end on April 4, giving you roughly two months to enter. There are also three entries per person. The full rules and eligibility can be found here.
- To enter the Metroid Prime sweepstakes, you will need to have a Nintendo account, which you can register here
- Once you're logged in, head to the sweepstake page here, and use your Platinum Points to select the amount of entries you want to redeem
- If you don't have any Platinum Points, once you sign in to your My Nintendo account, on the main page you can click 'Earn Points' and collect 100
- Considering each entry into the sweepstakes costs 10 points, getting the maximum amount of entries will leave you with 70 leftover
Once the sweepstakes ends on April 18, Nintendo will notify any winners by email with instructions to claim the prizes.
Sweepstakes prizes
For participating in the sweepstakes, there are two different things up for grabs, with 10 winners able to collect both.
First is a Metroid Prime Remastered HD metal panel which you can hang on your wall, and second is a Metroid Prime Remastered jacket. You can see both in the picture above, so check if they tickle your fancy.
