You may want to know how to sign up for the Darktide beta, as it's set to run for a weekend during the middle of October, giving players a chance to really test the game out before its release later in the year. Warhammer 40,000 Darktide is a brand-new wave-based first-person shooter similar to the Vermintide games, where players can choose one of four classes and customise their character to help fight against the Chaos incursion. This closed beta period will be the first chance many players have to test the game before the full release, so check out how to sign up for the Darktide beta and play with some friends.

How To Sign Up For Darktide Beta

Signing up for the Warhammer 40,000 Darktide beta is quite a simple process, but no one is guaranteed a place once it opens up. Here's how to sign up for the beta:

  • Make your way to the official Darktide website here.
  • Scroll down to the beta sign up section, and input your email address in the text box.
  • Shortly after, you should receive an email asking for more information on your platform, and your PC hardware.
  • Once you have filled that out, you're all signed up, so just keep an eye out for an invitation email closer to the beta date.

The Warhammer 40,000 Darktide beta is set to run for a full weekend, starting on October 14 and ending on October 16. It will only be available to PC players on the Steam and Microsoft Store platforms, and due to the sign-up process asking for your PC specifications, the developers will likely focus on the game's performance and make optimisation improvements following the beta.

The Darktide FAQ also reveals some key information about the closed beta. It will be open to more players than the previous technical test that occurred during August, and there is more content and features available, such as more maps, weapons, missions, and enemy types - but it still won't feature all of the game's release content. Progression will also not be carried over into the final version.

As far as we know, this is the game's final beta before release. Warhammer 40,000 Darktide will launch onto PC on November 30, before releasing on the Xbox Series X|S later down the line.
