Fortnite x KAWS isn't an entirely new proposition, as these two joined forces already back in 2021. However, now fan-favourite Peely is getting the KAWS treatment in Fortnite. Let's go over all of the Fortnite KAWS cosmetics, including the new KAWSPEELY Outfit.

Fortnite KAWS: What And Who Is KAWS?

KAWS is the alias of American artist and designer, Brian Donnelly. KAWS is most famous for creating the KAWS Companion figures. These collectables come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and styles, but due to their limited nature, KAWS Companion figures regularly resell for thousands of pounds. With that, KAWS Companions are a prime target for hypebeast collectors.

KAWS' first collaboration with Fortnite was back in October of 2021. In celebration of Halloween, the KAWS Hanging Skeleton Companion was transformed into a Fortnite Outfit. The spooky KAWS Outfit features multiple Selectable Styles that change the colour of the skeleton. The KAWS Skeleton Skin still appears in the Item Shop from time to time for 1,200 V-Bucks.

Fast-forward to 2022, and another Fortnite x KAWS crossover has arrived. It all began when a prominent Fortnite leaker claimed that, according to their sources, an upcoming collaboration would feature a well-known Fortnite Skin designed in the style of a popular artist. Shortly after, KAWS himself made a post on Instagram that reads, "Dear Fortnite, see you soon!" 

In the post is an image of a banana. This led to speculation that Fortnite's iconic Peely would be receiving a KAWS makeover. Well, now it's official: welcome KAWSPEELY.

KAWSPEELY comes bundled with the KAWS COMPANION Back Bling. Additionally, KAWS accessories like the FAR FROM HOME Glider and RIPE ON TIME Wrap will be available for pairing with KAWESPEELY or the KAWS Skeleton.

Whether you're a fan of KAWS or not, it's a difficult task to resist a new variant of Peely. Look for KAWSPEELY in the Item Shop beginning at 1am BST on July 2, 2022.
