How to play Fortnite Horde Rush
Fortnite's classic Halloween Limited-Time Mode (LTM), Horde Rush, returns for Fortnitemares 2023. This cooperative survival mode is reminiscent of Fortnite: Save the World. If fending off wave after wave of Cube Monsters piques your interest, keep reading to learn more about the game's signature PvE LTM.
How to play Horde Rush in Fortnite
In Horde Rush, you and up the three other players must survive an onslaught of Cube Monsters. Along the way, you will traverse an eerie map, fending off new locations, until eventually you come face-to-face with the Final Boss. Don't forget to scavenge the surrounding area for useful loot, including score multipliers that'll help you set new high scores and climb the leaderboard!
To play this returning LTM, navigate to Discover and find Horde Rush under by Epic. Since Horde Rush is an LTM, there is no Island Code to input.

Fortnite Horde Rush quests
Click to enlargeTo keep you engaged and give you something to work towards, Fortnite Horde Rush features a variety of quests, with rewards for completing certain amounts of these objectives. Below are all the Fortnite Horde Rush Quests available as part of Fortnitemares 2023:
- Earn a x40 KO Streak (1)
- Deal melee damage to Cube Monster spawners (6,000)
- Upgrade weapons at an upgrade bench in Horde Rush (5)
- Assist in collecting score multipliers (5)
- Assist in opening chests in Horde Rush (75)
- Help defeat the Boss in the final stage of Horde Rush (1)
- Hit headshots on Cube Monsters from at least 15 metres away (100)
- Eliminate Cube Monster using explosives (200)
- Accumulate team points (1,000,000)
Quest rewards to unlock

- Complete 1 Horde Rush Quest: Unlocks the The Murk Wrap
- Complete 4 Horde Rush Quests: Unlocks the Heart-o-Lantern Emoticon
- Complete 7 Horde Rush Quests: Unlocks the Batwing Bonespike Pickaxe
