To celebrate the finale of Fortnite Chapter 4: Season OG, you'll soon be able to jump into The Big Bang live event, so here's everything we know so far including the start date and time.

It's been months since Fortnite fans have witnessed one of the battle royale's famous live events, but the wait is almost over as the current OG season will come to a close on December 2, 2023, with a bang.

Fortnite's The Big Bang live event date & time

The Big Bang live event will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM GMT.

Unlike some recent Fortnite events that have taken place at convenient times in each player's local timezone, this is a traditional live event which means everyone around the world will experience it at the exact same time. You may need to use a timezone checker to make sure you've got the right date and time.

Being a live event also means you've only got one chance to take part in The Big Bang. It won't run multiple times across multiple dates like Ariana Grande's Rift Tour did, for example. Having said that, you'll probably be able to rewatch it on YouTube or Twitch clips if you do miss out on the big day.

How to watch Fortnite's The Big Bang live event

As with any live event in Fortnite, the best way to experience it will be to jump into the game and play along yourself. If you aren't able to log in, though, your best option will be to head over to Twitch and see which streamers are playing in the Fortnite category.

Because every other game mode will be disabled during the live event, anyone streaming at this time will have to be playing The Big Bang.

What to expect from The Big Bang live event

One of the biggest reveals for The Big Bang event so far is that American rapper Eminem will be involved somehow and will also get his own skin. Fortnite has previously featured virtual concerts from Ariana Grande and Travis Scott among other artists, so it seems music will play a big part in this event.

Outside of the start time and Eminem's involvement, not much has been confirmed by Epic Games. We can get a pretty good idea of what will happen based on the event name alone, though, as the 'Big Bang' is a famous theory of how the universe as we know it came to exist.

From this, we can probably assume that The Big Bang event will be a similar in-game phenomenon that will create a new Fortnite universe - or at the very least, a brand new map to play on. The poster for the event also features a microphone and a guitar, further suggesting that music will be a big feature.

A teaser can now be spotted on the new Lobby screen, where, among multiple Big Bang-style explosions, is a floating Llama that looks suspiciously like it's made out of LEGO... and if this wasn't enough to convince you, the official LEGO social media accounts have now shared an image of that very same Llama.

It's long been rumoured that a major Fortnite x LEGO crossover is in the works, so it certainly seems like that's about to happen!

Finally, longtime fans might remember the infamous 'Black Hole' which appeared for two days after Fortnite Chapter 1: Season X's finale live event. This extended downtime - and the new map that appeared afterwards - could give us an idea of what to expect after this event ends.

That's everything we know about The Big Bang live event so far, but we'll keep this page updated when more teasers are revealed, so check back soon!
