FM23 PlayStation 5 Release Date

A big sigh of relief has arrived from all living room enjoyers, as the FM23 PlayStation 5 release date has been confirmed as February 1st, 2023. This comes after the original release date of November 8, 2022 had to be pushed back due to unforeseen circumstances, anyone anticipating the release will be incredibly reassured to see it finally arrive.

In even better news, any PlayStation Plus subscribers will be entitled to a 20% discount on the game, giving you an even bigger incentive to take the plunge. This will take the game down to £31.99/$39.99, which is a great price for a game that you can easily pour thousands of hours into, and we're definitely not speaking from personal experience.

The discount itself ends on Tuesday, February 14, at 3PM GMT/7AM PT, so make sure to pick it up before then if you're wanting to play the game near launch.

What Are the Differences Between FM23 Console & PC Versions?

FM23 PlayStation 5 Release Date Differences

As this is the first time that a Football Manager game has appeared on consoles, Sports Interactive has adjusted the different versions slightly. The former Football Manager Xbox version of the game is being shifted into a broader FM Console release across both home consoles. This version is more attuned to working downwards from the main PC version, as opposed to expanding upon the more feature-stripped Mobile and Touch editions.

Of course, you are never going to be able to squeeze a version as in-depth as the one on PC onto consoles - especially if it is being made with a controller in mind - but FM23 Console is as close to the beefy PC version as possible.

Menus have been designed specifically to be used with a controller, meaning that any headaches that an emulated mouse cursor would bring have thankfully been avoided.

So, that gives you all the details of the upcoming Football Manager 2023 PlayStation 5 release, so you can properly look forward to it from now on. If you want to ensure a good start though, make sure to check out this FM23 wonderkids guide for the biggest future stars in the game.
