There’s a huge world to explore in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and plenty of ways to navigate it, including the option to fast travel – so we’re here to break down how to fast travel in the game and the conditions you need to meet to do so.

While there’s always the option to grab a Chocobo and ride across the overworld, being able to fast travel can get you to essential spots when you’re in a hurry.

How to fast travel

Using fast travel in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is pretty simple. After you’ve left Kalm early in the story and made it to the Grasslands, you’ll be able to open the map, as you’ll see below, and select the fast travel option on locations you’ve already visited.

I’d recommend exploring the map on foot (or by Chocobo) first to get to know the lay of the land and then, when you need to find a place to rest and compose yourself for the battles ahead.

Where can you fast travel to in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

As said above, you can pretty much fast travel to any location you’ve found along the way, meaning you’ll need to do some exploring first before you start zipping around.

You can also fast-travel to Chocobo Stops and reactivated towers, but you’ll need to unlock those points of interest too so that they become accessible to you. Once you do, you have the option to fast travel to them by foot or by Chocobo (essentially meaning you’ll already be mounted on your Chocobo when the fast travel is complete).

That’s everything you need to know about using fast travel in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Given the size of the world, you’ll need to make the most of it if you’re going to get anywhere swiftly.
