If you’re desperate for more FFXIV content, make sure that you have unlocked the Warring Triad quests in the game. These quests are available from Heavensward and can give you an extra challenge in your Trials if you want one.

There are plenty of Raids, Trials, and other group content that you can gain access to throughout your time playing FFXIV. More will unlock the further you get into the game, and you can unlock harder difficulties for the content, too. Not only do these quests unlock Extreme versions of previous Trials, but they also unlock three new Trials that you can complete on Normal or Extreme.

Make sure to keep reading if you want to know how you can take part in the Warring Triad quests that are available in FFXIV so that you can unlock some new Extreme Trials to take part in.

How to unlock Warring Triad quests in FFXIV

These particular quests were introduced at the end of Heavensward, for players who were looking for an additional challenge. However, if you have now completed Endwalker, you’re less likely to find these Extreme Trials as challenging.

The Warring Triad has appeared in other Final Fantasy games too, from Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy XII, and even Dissidia.

To begin this questline, head to the Pillars in Ishgard, and talk with the NPC Torsefers at X:11.7, Y:11.5. He will give you a questline that you have to begin. Here are all of the quests you have to complete in order to unlock the Extreme Trials. These quests help explain the Primals that you have to take down yet again to save Eorzea, as well as introduce three more Primals to the game, which are Sephirot, Sophia, and Zurvan.

  • Gods of Eld
  • The Diabolical Bismarck
  • Thok Around the Clock
  • When the Bough Wakes
  • A Fiendish Likeness
  • The Fate of Stars
  • Balance Unto All
  • A Deific Simulacrum
  • The Last Pillar to Fall
  • A Demonic Duplicate

Once you have completed all of these quests, you will then have the following trials unlocked in Extreme mode.

All Warring Triad loot in FFXIV

The loot you get from the Warring Triad bosses in FFXIV is unlikely to be of any use, as it is a couple of expansions old now. However, if you are levelling through that period of the game, you may find some occasional use for the items you get.

Bear in mind that every boss will give you different loot, depending on which once you are fighting.

Depending on how far through the game you are, the rewards are unlikely to be of much use to you as they are a little outdated these days. However, if you are feeling like a completionist and want to complete all of the trials in the game, this is how you can access some more of them.

That’s everything you need to know about how to unlock the Warring Triad Extreme Trials in FFXIV.
