The Dying Light 2 saving Aitor choice, comes during an optional mission you will find during your travels around the Central Loop, and concerns the Peacekeeper character of Aitor. During the quest Welcome On Board in Dying Light 2, as you're meeting Jack Matt at the Peacekeeper HQ, Aitor will be brought in on a stretcher for immediate medical help. You can visit him in the infirmary to learn more about his condition, and the doctor will give you the quest -aptly named Aitor - where you must find him herbs, which Aitor's wife refuses. So, if you're looking for how to solve the saving Aitor conundrum with the big and small petals from the recluse plant - including each potential outcome - read on.

Dying Light 2 Saving Aitor: The Lead Up

Dying Light 2 Aitor Quest Recluse Petals

As stated earlier, you can begin the Aitor side quest after first gaining access to the Peacekeeper HQ. Navigating to the infirmary inside the ship, will take you to a door where you can start the quest. Aitor's wife and the doctor are arguing about how to help him, with the doctor recommending herbs as a last resort, and his wife, Patricia, disagreeing due to their danger. Either way, the doctor tells you to go meet a folk healer called Margaret.

You'll be directed toward Margaret at Culvert Island, who will direct you toward the herbs you will need. They're called Recluse flowers, and can only be collected at night in a certain area that is filled with the chemical bomb after-effects. She also specifies that the big petals will poison Aitor, but the small ones can heal him.

Once you have collected all the Recluse petals you require, you can bring them to the doctor back in the infirmary. After arriving, the doctor will thank you, but Aitor's wife will question you on whether you went to collect the herbs.

Dying Light 2 How To Save Aitor: Tell The Truth

Dying Light 2 Aitor Quest lie or tell truth

Selecting the option "I got herbs from her," lets you tell her that the herbs will help Aitor. The doctor will back you up, but Aitor will start to choke, requiring immediate medical help. The doctor says he can stabilise him temporarily with an injection, but Patricia will inform you that Aitor once burned out Margaret's eyes because she failed to heal some of his men, in turn killing them.

You are then presented with the second choice, which gives you four separate options to proceed forward.

Dying Light 2 How To Save Aitor: Lie

If you decide on the "Never met any witches" choice, Patricia will see through your lie, but for the most part this choice will play out the exact same as telling the truth, with Aitor choking.

Dying Light 2 How To Save Aitor: Give Aitor Small Petals

Dying Light 2 Aitor Quest helping Aitor

If you decide on the small petals for the Dying Light saving Aitor choice, Aitor will settle after his condition worsens, and ultimately he will be saved. Immediately after leaving his room, Jack Matt will thank you for helping Aitor, and tell you that he is back on his feet already.

Dying Light 2 How To Save Aitor: Give Aitor Big Petals

As the supposed Witch warned, the big petals of the herb are deadly. So as expected, giving these over to the doctor will be the end of the line for poor Aitor. However, you can also expect the Witch to receive some kind of punishment for her crimes.

Dying Light 2 How To Save Aitor: Radio Lawan For Advice

If you choose to radio Lawan for advice on the situation, she will inform you that the small petals have healing properties - much like Margaret did - letting you choose whether to give Aitor the herbs or not.

Dying Light 2 How To Save Aitor: Refuse To Give Aitor Herbs

If you select the option to refuse giving Aitor the herbs, the doctor will give him the shot instead to stabilise him. Patricia will thank you and go outside, but the doctor will question your choice and say it's likely Aitor will stay in a coma for the foreseeable future, before telling you to leave, which ends the quest.

That's our walkthrough for Dying Light 2 saving Aitor, and now you should be able to navigate the Aitor quest with the results you want.

If you've just got this quest, then you may want to check out the Dying Light 2 Help Jack Matt or Juan choice.
