You may wonder, does Atomic Heart have a 6-hour cutscene? Atomic Heart is here years after its initial announcement, finally letting players immerse themselves in its Soviet-punk aesthetic and BioShock-inspired mechanics.

Prior to release, a rumour began to spread that the game would feature a 6-hour-long cutscene that just featured sex, but having now played it in full, we can elaborate on whether this is true or not. So, if you want to know whether Atomic Heart has a 6-hour cutscene, read on.

Does Atomic Heart Have A 6 Hour Cutscene?

We can confirm that Atomic Heart does not have a 6-hour cutscene where you have sex with robots.

The rumour looks to have originated from a faked picture of two of the game's mascots, the mechanical ballerina twins, which contains text stating, "developers of Atomic Heart have confirmed that there will be a 6-hour cutscene between the main character and the mechanical ballerina twin".

We're unsure of the origin, but it may be a joke from the developers, Mundfish, to capitalise on the…fascination that some fans have developed for the ballerina twins.

They even posted some rule 34 content to the community tab of their YouTube channel in 2022, showing that they are definitely aware of the hype surrounding the two characters.

They've also joked about the situation on Twitter prior to release. A fan asked, "so, how many hours of sex scenes will it contain now?", to which they responded, "find out by yourself ;)".

This had many speculating that the game would contain a sex scene of sorts, and while there's no sex scenes in the game, there are references to sex and a robot called Nora who explicitly flirts with the main character and jokes about sexually assaulting him.

That's all for our answer to the question, does Atomic Heart have a 6-hour cutscene? Now you know that it doesn't, and the rumour seemed to have originally stemmed from a joke about two characters that some fans have become obsessed with.

We also have an Atomic Heart review if you are still unsure about the game, or just want to know more.
