Season 3 of DMZ brings a lot of new content to the game to make it much more exciting and lucrative for players. One of the features includes the ability to get various types of armored vests, that offer protection in combat.

So, keep on reading this guide to find out how to get a Tempered Vest in DMZ.

How to find and get a Tempered Vest

Tempered Vests let players reach their full armored plate capacity of three vests through only two slots. This means if you use two armored plates when equipped with a Tempered Vest, you will get the same amount of protection three armored vests offer. This makes it a very lucrative, if rare item to get.

There are two ways to get the Tempered Vest: one is by completing the barter recipe for the vest at a Buy Station. The other is by defeating the Pyro Commander.

The easiest way to get a Tempered Vest is by getting it via the new barter system. The barter recipe for the Tempered Vest requires:

  • 2x Documents
  • 1x Sensitive Document
  • 1x Classified Document

When you have acquired all these items, you will be able to get the Tempered Vest from the buy station.

Defeating the Pyro Commander

If you don't want to search for the items in order to get the Tempered Vest, the other way to get it is by defeating the Pyro Commander. This is a very high-level enemy that will require a lot of skill and dedication to defeat. The Pyro Commander can appear in any one of the three locations:

  • The Control Tower at Al-Mazrah Airport
  • The Embassy at Al Mazrah City
  • The Post Office at Al Mazrah City

Defeating the Pyro Commander will make them drop the Tempered Vest.
