How to use Transmog to change your clothes in Cyberpunk 2077

The Cyberpunk 2077 Transmog feature was added as part of the Edgerunners update in 2022, but if you haven't played since it came out, you'll need to how to use it to change clothes, along with the wardrobe location.

Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way since it launched in 2020, with the game starting to shape up into the actual experience it was always intended to be. While it may be too little too late for some, many of the improvements and new features have brought old players back and drawn new players in.

How to use Transmog in Cyberpunk 2077

To use the Transmog feature, you will need to use the wardrobe in your apartment and create an outfit using one of the slots located on the left of the screen.

Selecting a slot and then placing clothes into the various sections for the head, upper body, and lower body on the right will create an outfit for you. From there, select 'Equip' and then you will notice the outfit in your inventory.

You can now use the inventory to swap out clothes individually to change your stats without altering the actual look of your character, letting you keep the aesthetic you want. 

You can create up to six different outfits to equip using your wardrobe, but you will need to return to the wardrobe whenever you want to swap them out. However, you can change saved outfits and the clothes within them from the inventory.

What is Transmog in Cyberpunk 2077?

Transmogging is a quality-of-life feature that's quite prevalent in many MMOs and RPGs in modern gaming, and whenever it's missing from a game, it's one of the first things the community will ask for.

Essentially, it allows you to change the appearance of the clothing you're wearing while keeping its stats. This is useful due to how wild a lot of the clothing in Cyberpunk 2077 can be, with you often mixing and matching different pieces and committing a litany of fashion crimes in the process.
