You'll need to learn how to start the Phantom Liberty DLC in Cyberpunk 2077 if you want to access all the new content that the expansion has to offer, such as the location of Dogtown and Idris Elba.

Cyberpunk 2077 has had a hard road since launch, with the game improving slowly with each new update. With update 2.0 now here along with the Phantom Liberty expansion, the game is essentially feature-complete, and apart from some small updates, we won't be seeing much more of Night City in the future.

For now, though, there is a lot of new stuff to take in, so check out how to start the Phantom Liberty DLC in Cyberpunk 207 and enjoy your new expansion.

How to start Phantom Liberty in Cyberpunk 2077

There are two ways to start the Phantom Liberty DLC in Cyberpunk 2077: starting the expansion during the main campaign or skipping straight to the expansion from the main menu.

For the former, players will need to reach Act 2 of the Cyberpunk 2077 main story. Once you finish the quest called I Walk The Line in the Pacifica region of Night City, the new location of Dogtown will unlock, and you'll be able to visit it to begin the Phantom Liberty expansion.

It's worth noting that you will need to play the expansion before completing the main game, and it even unlocks a new ending to experience, so you'll need to boot up an earlier save or start fresh.

The alternative method for starting Phantom Liberty in Cyberpunk 2077 is by selecting it from the main menu; instead of starting a regular game, you can choose to "Skip ahead to Phantom Liberty".

Doing this second method will put you at the recommended starting level for the expansion with attributes and skills automatically selected for you, though there is the option to respec before diving into the expansion.

That's all for our primer on how to start the Phantom Liberty DLC in Cyberpunk 2077, and now you know how to begin the new expansion during the main game, or from the main menu.
