Halo Infinite has made something of a name for itself, not just by being a top-quality addition to the long-standing FPS franchise, but also by giving its players a freedom that is unheard of for Master Chief's adventures.

The game's almost-open-world has meant that Infinite is a one-of-a-kind Halo experience, and has practically reinterpreted what the franchise can actually look like. It's a grand return to form, and fans are loving it, as well as its wealth of little secrets.

Some of these secrets might take some time to find, but they're often worth it - especially one that has been discovered that lets you pilot a vehicle that has never been accessible in the franchise's history.

Halo Infinite Lets You Pilot The Pelican

The Pelican, the huge dropship that takes you to and from your missions in many of the Halo games is an absolute unit of a vehicle. Until now, you haven't been able to get behind its wheel and take it for a spin. You can see where we're going with this.

A method has been unveiled to allow you to pilot the Pelican all by yourself, as for some reason, the vehicle is programmed as pilotable.

This is a sweet addition to the game, as fans have wondered how it flies for some time - but as the Pelican offers the option to call in vehicles at a whim, and players are taking advantage of this fact to get into the behemoth spacecraft themselves

How Do You Pilot The Pelican In Halo Infinite?

A few methods for flying the Pelican have been discovered so far (all of which use no mods whatsoever). However, a particularly simple one has been identified by YouTuber Generalkidd.

Head to FOB Hotel once you've captured it, and grab a Banshee from the front courtyard. Go back to the spot where you can request vehicles, call in any of them, and the Pelican will arrive as ever. Quickly dash into your Banshee, fly over the Pelican before it leaves, and hop out onto the top of the vehicle. Walk over to the very front of the Pelican, and by interacting with it, you can jump in and take it for a spin.

This is a cool little Easter egg from 343 Industries, and one that a lot of fans are going to be pleased with. Wonder no more, Halo fans - you can finally crash the Pelican all by yourselves.
