As the latest season of Apex Legends continues to unfold, players have found another bonus for playing as Wraith. That's right, there's a new Wraith trick that can turn her portal into a deadly death trap.

Wraith is probably Apex's most popular character, which has led to players continuously trying to take her down. The portal ability means Wraith can vanish in the blink of an eye, but for those who try and follow her in hopes of a sneak attack, you might want to think twice. A bit like the movie The Fly, chasing Wraith into her portal can have devastating consequences.

Redditor Vikovi shared the Wraith trick where you can trap other players by not setting an exit before hopping into your portal. Simply jump into the air and place your portal out there in the ether. Those who tail Wraith are then dropped to the floor and are left temporarily stationary for an easy kill.

If you play as Wraith and use a fast-loading weapon like the  R-99, you can spin around and take out your wannabe assassin as they're left flopping about on the floor. Vikovi took things up a notch when they explained you can also throw down a Thermite Grenade and watch your opponent come unstuck at the hands of their own devious scheming.

There are some obvious drawbacks to the idea. Namely, you have to time it right and know you're being followed. Otherwise, you're lurking at the exit of a portal that's hanging in mid-air and alerting other players to exactly where you are. Elsewhere, not everyone is going to blindly jump into a portal behind you, let alone now this Wraith trick is out in the open.

Still, next time you decide to play Apex Legends, why not try the Wraith trick? If you don't play as Wraith, you can't say we didn't warn you!
