Rockstar Games' Red Dead Redemption 2 has long been a fallback in gaming. Much like Marvel's Spider-Man and GTA, it's a game that can fill the gap between boredom by allowing you to live the life of a real rootin' tootin' b*stard, abducting civilians, getting in fights, and getting drunk at the local tavern.

The cowboy caper is a real treat, and even though the 2018 title has been subject to criticism when it comes to its focus on realism over fun, its simulator tendencies have allowed the game to become the purest form of escapism.

Red Dead Redemption 2's story is among the most revered in the medium, too - and as one player has discovered, there's still more that needs piecing together. Now

Red Dead Redemption 2's missing mission has perplexed fans for years

The mystery of the disappearing princess has shocked super-fans of Red Dead Redemption 2, and now, it looks like we've found a new hint that points towards a mission that never actually appeared in the game.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was once intended to feature a special questline that would see players learn more about mysterious royalty before it was pulled from the title. Still, there are hints of its existence peppered around the finished game's world.

Arthur Morgan was supposed to find a missing person who happened to be Princess Isabeau Katharina Zinsmeister (shortened to Princess IKZ by fans) of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Sadly, we never got the chance to find her. But now, players have found more hints of her cut questline.

One player has taken to Reddit to share a brand-new discovery that is expected to be a part of the game's missing Princess mission - and it's connected to where you find the missing poster for the Princess herself. The user has shared an image of a chest they've found in-game, which bears Princess IKZ’s initials.

As pointed out by comments, the coat of arms of the Duchy of Luxembourg is in the Van Horn fence. We don't know what's inside the chest, or how it ties into the Princess' story, but it's there and serves as real proof of a mission that could have been a blast.

Even though Red Dead Online is 'dead' and we can't revisit Isabeau's story here, could we see it return further down the line?  Although it's not officially official, there's been a lot of buzz about Red Dead Redemption 3. With IKZ still MIA, it remains one of the Red Dead-Verse's most frustrating mysteries.
