The actor who played Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, has responded to the Florida Joker’s reaction to GTA 6.

Lawrence Sullivan, who is known online as Florida Joker due to his resemblance to the DC villain, is threatening to sue Rockstar after fans of the franchise forged a connection between a scene in the trailer and Sullivan’s 2017 mugshot.

Florida Joker is threatening to sue Rockstar over likeness in game

After the GTA 6 trailer dropped earlier this week, fans of the GTA franchise began to draw connections between real-life events which have taken place in Florida, and moments in the trailer.

One of these links was forged between a clip of a criminal with extensive face tattoos and Florida Joker’s mugshot from 2017.

In a video posted to his TikTok account, Florida Joker said: "You know they got that character with the face tattoos, you know who they got that inspired by."

He went on to demand $1-2 million from Rockstar for using his likeness in the game, a case that he is unlikely to win.

Roger Clark, the actor who played Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, has responded to the Florida Joker’s reaction to GTA 6.

In a TikTok shared to his own account, the actor said: “You don’t need to talk to them. They’re not going to talk to you.

“They’ve had people like you trying to sue them for decades. They are lawyered up man. They know exactly what they can and cannot get away with.

“If I were you I would use the notoriety that they just threw your way to my advantage. Capitalise on it somehow. You ain’t getting a job at home depot with that face.”

Clark is correct that Florida Joker has gained plenty of attention from the current situation, both due to his reaction to his likeness in game and his original mugshot.

While it is unlikely he will be given money by Rockstar, he could definitely capitalise on the situation and walk away with something after all of this if he wanted to, whether that is attention, an online following or something else all together.
