Mortal Kombat 1 is on its way, and even though it looks like a blast, it's still going to need to justify itself. Pumping out more titles than any of its equally legendary fighting game peers, its last two games in the Mortal Kombat franchise have been great fun but haven't stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the genre giants.

Mortal Kombat continues to prove that it's a laugh, but for a series of such stature, more is expected of it. And as of yet, we're yet to see that proof in Mortal Kombat. But who knows, maybe the delights of the game are yet to be discovered. That is, if they weren't already leaking via their developer.

NetherRealm leaks Mortal Kombat character

Whoopsie. It looks like leaks are seeping out into the world when it comes to Mortal Kombat 1, and though many developers would be frustrated by this notion, on this occasion, the call is coming from inside the house.

A video that Netherrealm posted displaying a scrap in the game has now been deleted, because eagle-eyed fans immediately spotted that the character Sindel was in the background, sat atop a throne. Sindel hadn't yet been revealed.

Deleting the post has only added to the fact that this is indeed a character leak, but removing the video won't remove what we now know - Sindel will be on the Mortal Kombat 1 roster. We knew NetherRealm was a fan-first dev team, but leaking its own details is pushing the boat out a bit.

Reddit reveals another leaked Mortal Kombat 1 character

It doesn't end there, as another character has been teased by an anonymous Redditor who leaked everything in the game's gameplay trailer before it aired, making them fairly believable.

They claim that Li Mei will be on the way to the game, and while we don't really understand how they know that, we'll just have to take their word for it for now.

It's an exciting time to be an MK fan, especially as we're likely to see the full roster before its official reveal if the leaks keep coming. Ears to the ground, leakers - let's get it done.
