If you're one of the very few GTAplayers hoping to avoid any violence, then you're in for some bad luck, as it turns out, the game forces you to kill no less than hundreds of people throughout your gameplay.

The GTA franchise isn't exactly known for being the most PG of games. GTA V, the seventh main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, may have been released all the way back in 2013. However, there is still something about the violent, gangster-fuelled title which keeps gamers coming back, to an addictive level in some cases. In fact, the game remains so popular, that Rockstar even saw fit to release the game a PS5 upgrade nearly 10 years later.

Despite some brutal competition from bloody AAA games that have been released since its debut, GTA V has continued to hold its own. After all, how many titles would force you to tear through the streets of Los Santos whether you like it or not?

How Many People Does GTA V Force You To Kill?

GTA V player "Sex-Positive Gamer" posted a YouTube video in which they undertook the big challenge of only killing the characters that you cannot avoid taking down throughout the game. In total, the amount of people you are forced to kill in GTA V's main storyline weighs in at a whopping 726.

That may seem an eye-watering number, but it's actually modest in comparison to other bloodthirsty titles, as Sex-Positive Gamer has proven. The YouTuber has created a plethora of videos in which they take up the challenge of trying to kill as few people as possible throughout their playthroughs. For example, third-person shooter Max Payne 3's kill count comes to 1,216, Mass Effect 2 weighs in at 837, and Spec Ops: The Line has an unavoidable kill count of 1,168.

How Can I Kill As Few Enemies As Possible In GTA V?

Sex-Positive Gamer managed to achieve their pacifist GTA V playthrough by avoiding side missions in the game that would force the player to take down unsuspecting NPCs. Not only that, but by some miracle, they managed to avoid running over any pedestrians in their car and chose to stealth every main mission they could.

Sex-Positive Gamer also did a kill count rundown of GTA V's three different playable characters. You might think it would be baseball bat-wielding drug dealer Trevor Philips would be the protagonist with the highest figures, but his 258 kills were just surpassed by Franklin Clinton with 295 kills. While Michael De Santa proved to be the good guy of the three with only 172 kills.

It seems that even Mother Theresa would struggle to play GTA V as kindly as possible, but we wouldn't have GTA V any other way. Knowing Rockstar, GTA 6 promises to be just as bloodthirsty.
