Ah, Grand Theft Auto Online, one of the only places you can hunt aliens, take out a blind Yakuza boss, and go looking for Bigfoot all in one session. Now, someone has found a mysterious bunker in the mountains. You guessed it, it already has theorists talking about GTA 6

Rockstar Games has become known for taking the p*ss out of itself with signs reading, "There are no Easter Eggs up here. Go Away," in GTA: San Andreas, but in a world as big as GTA Online, you can bet it's packed with hidden details you might've missed.

In a style similar to Bethesda's ongoing SkyrimGTA Online fans are still discovering Easter eggs and breadcrumb trails some nine years after the online multiplayer's servers went live. With regular updates and a plethora of new content, some are only just finding the game's secret mountain bunker.

What Is The GTA Online Bunker?

The GTA Online locale of Mount Chiliad is one of the more unusual POIs out there. You might remember there was a strange mural that depicted Bigfoot and the number 27 - which turned out to be how many peyote plants you needed to turn into this furry friend. The area is also popular for UFO sightings, but now, you might find yourself making the trek for a different reason.

Over on Reddit, u/FiskerGuten said they found a mysterious bunker chilling on the top of Mt. Chiliad. This blew the bunker doors off theories, with one writing, "That's the entrance to GTA VI. Is it locked?" Another tinfoil theorist added, "I first found this when the alien sh*t was going on. I thought I was onto something HUGE." We don't want to burst your bubble, but there's an unfortunately simple reason behind it.

What's The Truth Behind The GTA Online Bunker?

If you've been playing GTA Online for a while, you'll know the bunker has been here since 2017's Doomsday Heist update - don't worry, you're only five years late. The Mt. Chilad bunker forms a major part of the update's third act. Here, players take on the James Bond-esque billionaire called Avon Hertz. The final showdown has you escape through the doors of Hertz's silo via a jetpack.

Despite being in the game for years, it was surprising how many of you didn't know about the mysterious mountain bunker. It seems we're too used to Call of Duty: Warzone adding nuke silos and blowing things up to just accept the bunker is now part of GTA Online's backdrop. Oh well, back to scouring San Andreas for clues about where on Earth we're up to with GTA 6
