Ned Luke hasn't squandered his chance to be a part of the wider gaming community. Though he's best known as the voice actor behind GTA 5's Michael De Santa, he's spent plenty of time commenting on the "big asses "of the GTA 6 trailer and coming for "clowns" claiming the upcoming game has "gone woke."

The voice actor is just as much a fan of Rockstar's output as we all are - but he's stepped out of line according to some fans, and he's been forced to fight his corner after not particularly enjoying one facet of Rockstar Games' work.

Ned Luke defends himself after revealing he doesn't like RDR's Dutch

Rockstar fanboys have been taking to the replies of Ned Luke's tweets in attack after he had suggested he was'’t keen on the characterisation of the iconic Dutch in Red Dead Redemption 2. Looks like someone doesn't have much faith.

After one fan asked him in a tweet why exactly he didn't like the character, Luke responded simply "Don’t like the character or the performance." Naturally, defensive Red Dead fans took to his replies, explaining to him how wrong he is (because, clearly, art is objective and there are correct and incorrect opinions), and Luke put up a fight.

"Chill out people. I didn’t like it. Sorry," he says. "Was he a great character yeah prolly tremendous. But I don’t like it. I didn’t like Al Pacino in Scent of a Women [sic] and I didn’t like Dustin Hoffman in Rainman. But they won Oscars. Ben do what he was supposed to do I wasn’t enthralled."

Players aren't wasting their time in giving Luke hell for his tweet, with one fan claiming that they supported his right to say so, but added that it seems too much like Luke simply doesn’t like the actor behind Dutch, Benjamin Byron Davis.

"It states very clearly that I didn't like the performance," Luke says. "To be clear, there are enough of my own performances I don't like as well." It seems that Ned Luke simply can't win here, and he's probably going to keep getting heat for his response to the performance. That's Twitter for you.
