We hope you aren't afraid of heights because it sounds like we'll be taking to the skies in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. The latest season of Epic Games' battle royale favourite might be titled "Paradise," but it'll be forever known as the "goo" season.

While there are the usual complaints that not enough has changed out there on the Fortnite battlefield, we're expecting the usual midseason revamp which should give us some new locales to explore and features to mess around with. Now, some Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 map leaks have shown what could be on the way.

What Do The Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 Map Leaks Reveal?

Trusted insider HYPEX has given an info dump on the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 map leaks - with an interesting tease that the action will be going vertical. The chrome gloop is making its way across the map, and with it, we can use the Chrome Splash to turn into a silvery blob.

Remember when Epic flooded the map back in Chapter 2 Season 3 for some nautical madness with Aquaman? While this isn't quite the same, it sounds like the goo will continue to swallow the map and force us to go upward to escape its wrath. Although unconfirmed when these map changes will come into play, they could be pretty major. It looks like time is running out for the Butter Barn and Greasy Grove, while more floating POIs are on their way back.

The airships were a great addition to Chapter 3 Season 2, and although we don't imagine Epic would completely reuse the idea, we'd love to see more sky-bound POIs. Perhaps the weirdest bit of the leak is the idea that the iconic No Sweat building from Tilted Towers will move around the map. Either way, setting sail on a sea of chrome while riding the pirate ship sounds like a lot of un.

When Will Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 5 Release?

The chrome is a gimmick that lost its spark pretty quickly, but it might not be the end of the story. There are already critics saying it's effectively Chapter 2 Season 3 but in the air. We've already heard about an overhaul for NPCs, but it's clear something needs to change. Sadly though, Chapter 3 Season 4 might be one of those middling seasons that's quickly forgotten.

More likely, fans will be looking ahead to the usual Christmas celebrations. It's currently unconfirmed, but according to Tom Henderson, Chapter 3 Season 5 will kick off on December 5. Taking us through Christmas and into 2023, Chapter 3 Season 5 will be the big one. Could we see the return of planes like 2021's Winterfest? We hope so, to spread some holiday cheer.
