Dream Calls Out HasanAbi Over Spreading 'Outright Lies'
Minecraft speedrunner "Dream" is quickly becoming one of the most talked-about streamers in the industry, taking the role of the villain following an admission that he previously cheated.
The content creator had been defending his honour for months, and recently captured more headlines than a 1950s paperboy after admitting his guilt ("Extra! Extra! Read all about it!").
With the spotlight shining in his face like an interrogation lamp, Dream has hit out at fellow Minecraft content creator Hasan "HasanAbi" Piker, claiming that he was spreading "outright lies" about his career.
HasanAbi Defends Karl Jacobs - Calls Out Dream For 'Collaborating' With Disgraced Markus ‘Notch’ Persson
The Minecraft drama has been all over the media in recent times, with many die-hard fans looking to 'cancel' Karl Jacobs, after his association with Paul "Ice Poseidon" was called into question.
However, Hasan defended Jacobs, and instead opened up an attack on Dream, drawing attention to a video of his with 16 million views. Dream included a tweet from the previously disgraced Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson within the YouTube video. Persson has been outed for his "white supremacist transphobe" views, resulting in Hasan claiming Dreams inclusion of Notch's opinions in his video is "much worse" than Jacobs' association with Ice Poseidon.
Speaking in his latest video, Hasan said: "Attacking your favourite content creators and writing massive threads about how it’s problematic to bring up slavery in any capacity in a video game roleplay scenario is ridiculous,
“This, just having Notch on a video like this with 16 million views, is significantly worse. I can’t even. This dude has been an avowed, out and about white supremacist transphobe for so long.”
Dream calls out Hasan For telling "outright lies"
The Minecraft drama didn't stop there though, as Dream took to Twitter to answer back. In a now-deleted tweet, Dream said Hasan was “spreading misinformation as well as bringing up [out of context] things,” before adding "Just say you’re anti your friends being held accountable instead of saying that BS.”
The two then got together on-stream to iron out their differences.
Much like Dream's defence against his cheating allegations, he quickly changed tune, apologising for his tweet. He admitted: "I’m sorry for the tweet. That was stupid. That was just me being an idiot. I was watching your stream and I was like ‘ah this f**king a**hole.’
“My only thing was ‘oh he’s bringing up something I apologized for’ and not mentioning the apology, so people who are now being introduced to this would see it without the context.”
With the Minecraft drama squashed, for now, maybe they could go back to building a lovely home and fending off creepers with iron swords and lay off pointing pitchforks at each other.
