There might be a very sad day for the Call of Duty esports community coming in the near future. The competitive future of Ian "Crimsix" Porter was already looking bleak heading into Modern Warfare 2, but with even more teams locking in their rosters, Crimsix has now updated fans on where he may, or may not, end up.

He's the winningest Call of Duty player of all time. An undeniable 'GOAT'. With three world championships rings wrapped around his hand and a further 35 Major event wins under his belt, Crimsix's trophy cabinet is far superior to any other player.

But with only one championship in the last two years (the Vanguard Pro-AM, which some people have disputed as a 'major'), Crimsix's prowess in the CDL has suffered, and with many burnt bridges with players and staff over the years, it now appears that Crimsix might not get a spot in the Call of Duty League for the Modern Warfare 2 season.

Crimsix Claims 'Nobody Wants Him'

Having left New York Subliners in a quite brutal fashion, claiming his former teammate was "dead to him", Crimisix's hunt for a new CDL team is not going to plan, according to the man himself.

Taking to stream, the Call of Duty esports legend revealed that his agent has reached out to all 12 teams in the league but "nobody wanted him".

Crim's Vanguard Season didn't go to plan either, having admitted that he was "trash" at Vanguard. However, his quality clearly shone in the Subliners' miracle run to get to the World Championships, reaching the Grand Finals of Major IV out of nowhere.

Will Crimsix Retire?

Crimsix has already made his peace with a potential retirement. He recently told his stream that "my playing days are looking slim," and went on to add, "I am completely f**king fine with it". Although he would much prefer to be in the League, Crimsix also went on the popular talk show The Flank to detail that he was fine if he needed to transition to full-time content.

For Crimisix's chances of playing in the league, teams such as Florida Mutineers might be his best bet. So far, OpTic, Surge, Los Angeles Guerrillas, Breach, Thieves, and ROKKR have all locked in their main Assault Rifle player for the upcoming season, while Ultra appear to have settled on keeping Jamie "Insight" Crave, Subliners look set to pull in Cesar "Skyz" Bueno, and Paris Legion is also targeting James "Clayster" Eubanks. That leaves London Royal Ravens (who prefer to keep their roster entirely European) and Mutineers left as possible destinations.

Florida has retained an AR player in David "Davpadie" Maslowski, although it's not yet clear whether he will be promoted up from the substitutes bench or will remain as an understudy.

Crimsix did admit that he'd love to play alongside ex-Mutineers player Joe "Owakening" Conley and potential targets Ben "Beans" McMellon, although it's unsure as to whether Florida intends to pull them together.

Unlike Clayster, should Crimsix fail to make a team, he'd rather retire and do content rather than play in the Challengers scene, meaning Mutineers might just be Crim's last chance saloon to continue his playing career.

With hope, Crimsix won't retire, as his departure would be a huge loss for the Call of Duty esports scene as a whole.
