Apex Legends' technological prowess that is Crypto is one of the least picked legends in the game, with players opting for more gung-ho characters that will lift you off your feet - literally, in the case of Valkyrie.

However, this does not mean that Crypto is a useless legend, and Apex Legends' developers have left a scarring message for those who overlook the mainframe maniac.

Speaking in a podcast named 'Apex Uncut', Respawn Entertainment's Balance designer, John Larson, has admitted that changes will come to Crypto, who is "far too cerebral" for "dumb lizard-brain people who like shooting bad guys."

Apex Designer Says Crypto Will Get Changes To Kit Soon

After being quizzed about Crypto's incredibly methodical yet powerful abilities, Larson said: "I think Crypto, more than many characters, we're pretty okay with him being a niche, off-meta pick, because, in a fast-paced FPS shooter, a lot of us are just dumb lizard-brain people that like shooting bad guys. Crypto is far too cerebral for my taste."

What Changes Will We See To Crypto?

As for the changes, Larson admitted that something 'less binary' would be beneficial to Crypto, where players don't have to spend as much time in the drone as possible, straying away from fights.

The fear is that by making Crypto more accessible, he will quickly become too powerful, as his kit is already strong, according to Larson.

One thing is for certain though, a Crypto balance is coming soon, as they look set to bolster his kit alongside the likes of Rampart.
