How much LEGO do you have in your home right now? Chances are, you've at least got a box somewhere, or maybe you've got your Jurassic Park T-Rex paddock proudly on display. Among the many LEGO collabs, its video game offerings are some of the best.

If you're a little tired of the Mario-themed LEGO sets, then perhaps Horizon, Sonic, or Animal Crossing-inspired sets are your bag. There are a lot of gaming sets we're yet to see, with rumours of Zelda and Fortnite also getting their own blocky homages.

We need GTA LEGO sets

We could sit here all day and dream up sets for Banjo-Kazooie, DOOM, and Halo, but for the time being, let's focus on the brilliant brainwave of a GTA: San Andreas LEGO set. Over on Reddit, one fan shared their concept for a set inspired by Rockstar Games' 2004 classic.

The OP claims they designed this with AI, but it's amazing to see how realistic this Grand Theft Auto LEGO set is. See, not all AI is here to steal your jobs or moderate Call of Duty. We see the backdrop of the infamous city, as well as a warning the LEGO set should be for ages 18 and above.

We aren't alone in loving the concept of GTA LEGO, with someone else adding, "I really want a more adult line of legos like how Duplo is to toddlers." Others were saying imagine if we got GTA LEGO instead of the maligned GTA Trilogy - we know which we'd prefer.

Someone else said, "I honestly love that the aesthetic of the models themselves look like something LEGO would have made in the 90s. Nothing too complicated, but still plenty of variety." Sadly, this GTA LEGO remains just a concept for now, and to be honest, it will likely never get made.

Could we actually get GTA LEGO sets?

Ultimately, we doubt LEGO would ever gift us a GTA set. Much like Resident Evil or Call of Duty, the blood and guts of these franchises lock them out of the family-friendly image of LEGO. It's true we've had more adult sets based on Friends and The Office, but LEGO is largely still aimed at a younger audience.

People on the Reddit thread were asking if the GTA San Andreas LEGO comes with a dead hooker, which neatly sums up exactly why LEGO would never sign off on something like this. Still, there's a whole LEGO Ideas page, where fan-generated ideas can be put forward, and you can vote for LEGO to make them a reality.

LEGO Ideas has had great success with the Hocus Pocus Sanderson Sisters house, Home Alone, and the aforementioned Sonic set. Currently, there are votes going on for the likes of Wreck-It Ralph, Krusty Burger, and Spirited Away, but sadly, no GTA. Alas, you can't replicate Big Smoke's order in brick form just yet.
