The robots are rising, as AI services like ChatGPT are already taking over and improving real-life projects - especially in the entertainment business.

Having seen the likes of The Weeknd and Drake have collaboration songs formed through the magic of AI, the programmes are now taking a crack at out-foxing Activision.

Now, AI appears to have made a better Call of Duty game than Activision itself. Now, bot-forged maps are being hailed as better than anything in Modern Warfare 2.

AI programme creates incredible city-based Call of Duty maps

Artificial intelligence programmes have already created some quite masterful Call of Duty operators, specifically bundles based around NFL franchises that quickly blew the minds of Modern Warfare 2 fans.

Now though, they're targeting map designs - and following on from real-life depictions such as Breenbrugh Hotel and Museum that are already in MW2 - a programme has created a range of USA City-based maps.

Although its not known which AI program was used, a collection of City-based maps have been created, with New York, Seattle, San Francisco, and Florida, all depicting dystopic battlefields in the midst of monumental backgrounds.

MW2 fans are loving AI-created maps

Featuring the likes of the Statue of Liberty and Disneyland, the AI-created maps have now been dubbed as better than the MW2 maps. "They look cooler than whatever tf they're playing now," said one fan on Twitter.

Another added, "AI giving maps more atmosphere and interesting settings than the actual CoD devs." The designs look akin to places such as London Docks and Picadilly which we've seen in Call of Duty in the past. Fans clearly have the bug for these types of realistic, yet dystopic, war grounds.

Maybe Sledgehammer Games might take a look at AI for their Call of Duty 2023 title, if they fancied making some more original designs to accompany the MW2 throwbacks.
