Call of Duty: Warzone is still running pretty high, despite its many problems. Hackers and cheaters are keeping many from enjoying the game, and we’re slightly stuck in an interim between an update and the upcoming map joining the game with Vanguard’s launch. Still, that won’t keep people watching other people suffering through the game.

Twitch’s audience for the game has always been pretty strong, never suffering the same drop-off rates as Black Ops Cold War or Modern Warfare.

But, it looks like fans have chosen something new. Something a little more… menial.

Lawn Mowing Simulator Dominates Warzone On Twitch

It looks like Warzone couldn’t keep player attention forever, as in the wake of the launch of Lawn Mowing Simulator, the latter has dominated the battle royale game when it comes to Twitch stream numbers.

One screenshot from streamer Wipz shows Lawn Mowing Simulator taking Warzone head-on, with 66.8 thousand viewers for the sim and 53.5 thousand to Warzone’s name.

This is an impressive achievement given the lasting popularity of the battle royale title, and it’s clear that the developers are pleased as well, as they’ve made a blog post addressing their toppling of the Twitch giant.

Skyhook Games, developers of Lawn Mower Simulator, have made a blog post resting to the news that they’ve dominated Warzone in Twitch numbers.

"Look, we get it. Comparing yourself to others? It’s not the best way to measure your self-worth", say Skyhook. "But given Lawn Mowing Simulator is a) our debut game and b) was briefly clocking up more viewers on Twitch than Call of Duty: Warzone… well, maybe you could indulge us just this one time if we promise not to make a habit of it?"

The rest of the blog post goes on to thank the game’s streamers and fans for their positive messages in a very wholesome post indeed.

It’s nice to see an independent studio get so much love - and still very funny that the leading battle royale has been toppled by a troupe of lawnmowers. It’s poetry in motion. Or mow-tion?
