It's fair to say that Modern Warfare 3's recent testing service on Ranked has been quite a hit, allowing competitive players to test out new weaponry in a bid to have them reinstated to the playlist and to professional play.

Some guns proved to be quite the hit, with the Holger 556 being a damning AR and the BP50 serving as a swift flex. That evaluation period has finished, and all five guns have been removed. But that's not all, as the developers have gone one step further and banned a sixth.

As of April 23, the Modern Warfare 3 Ranked weapon test is over. Those players who have been enjoying using the new guns will have to get used to the plain Jane MCW and Rival-9 meta again.

The latter weapon will reign supreme over the SMG pool entirely, as alongside the axing of the five test weapons, Treyarch has confirmed that the WSP Swarm will also be restricted moving forward.

The Swarm has been immensely popular, although players knew full well that the gun was too OP and had no place in Ranked.

MW3 fans debate which guns Ranked should be added in Season 3 Reloaded

As per the Call of Duty Patch Notes, the "findings" from the recent evaluation will be made apparent for Season 3 Reloaded, and fans have now called on one of the weapons to return to the mode, claiming it to be balanced and good.

"Add the MTZ back in with reloaded. Everything else can stay gone," said one popular comment, which is probing to be echoed by others on social media.

Others argued that the BP50 could also stay, given that it's a great flex akin to Black Ops 4's Maddox, and there are no options to bridge that gap between SMG and AR at the moment.

Whether any guns will be re-added again in Season 3 Reloaded is yet to be seen, although we will only have to wait a matter of days, as the update is due on May 1.
