A Fortnite collab with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is in the works
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been everywhere lately and fans of the four brothers are thrilled to see it.
With the recent success of the animated film and the announcement of The Last Ronin game, it is no surprise that the turtles have been collaborating with other popular games.
Fortnite seems to be the latest game which the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are sneaking into.
A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collab is coming to Fortnite
As spotted by PoketOfficial on Twitter, a sneaky hint towards the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming to Fortnite was left within the Chapter 5 trailer.
Namely, a manhole cover that seems to stand out from the rest of the scene, perhaps because it is hiding a secret lair.
A tweet from Fortnite news and Leaks account ShiinaBR said: “At the end of the Chapter 5 trailer, "Viacom" is part of the copyright list, despite having seemingly no collab in the trailer... there is a mysteriously glowing manhole cover, though.”
When the tweet was originally posted nothing was set in stone however the collab seems to have been confirmed since the original tweet was shared.
A more recent tweet from ShiinaBR shows a painting of one of the turtles on a brick wall in game alongside a statement saying: “Fortnite x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is dropping next season. It is now confirmed.”
Players are very excited to see the turtles in game
Several players have expressed their excitement at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, with some saying that it could be the thing that brings them back to Fortnite.
“This is going to be EPIC,” one user wrote.
Another, who stated they had been watching TMNT since the 90s, said: “Let's gooooooo! Original designs too and not a tie in, I cannot wait!!!!!”
Several Twitter users responded with excited GIFs, many of which involve the turtle brothers themselves.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have previously appeared as part of successful collaborations with games like Fall Guys and Street Fighter 6, so it will be fun to see them coming to more games in the near future.
