The Flux Construct I is likely going to be the first boss you fight in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and is located on the Great Sky Island.

Following the In-Isa Shrine (the second Shrine you will encounter) you will need to head to the Gutanbac Shrine.

As you progress through the Pondside Cave and the Mining Cave, you will find yourself in an area with a Zonai Dispenser. Keep pressing forward from there, and you will see a floating platform with a tower structure on it.

The tower has a red light at the top and is rotating like an ominous lighthouse. This is the Flux Construct I, and it will most likely be the first boss you face in the game.

To get to the floating platform, you will need to use your Ultrahand to shift another platform over to it to bridge the gap. Once there, you can approach the structure and start the fight.

How to beat Flux Construct I in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Flux Construct I is an eerie green box with a glowing red eye. However, it can control the other blocks that make up the structure and change into different forms, including:

  • A towering giant that can throw blocks and slam the ground.
  • A floating platform that can drop blocks on you from above.
  • A large cube attempting to roll over and squash you.

While these giant forms may be intimidating, they all share the same weakness: the green block with the glowing red eye. This is Flux Construct’s weak point and will deal the most damage when it has been hit with a melee weapon or arrow. Consider the following steps to take it down:

  • After dealing enough damage, the Flux Construct I will collapse. To do this, make sure to aim for the red eye when attacking.
  • Following its immobilization, continue to pepper it with attacks, still aiming for the red eye.
  • If you continue to follow this method, it will eventually explode into a shower of Zonai Charges and Capsules.

That’s everything you need to know about beating Flux Construct I in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Looking to expand your inventory? Why not check our guide for finding Hestu as well?
