In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there are many dangerous bosses that you’ll be facing during your quest to save Hyrule. One of the trickier bosses Link will be taking on is the fearsome Colgera.

Here, we’ll be going through where you’ll find Colgera in the game and some of the best ways you can defeat it.

Where can you find Colgera?

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will be journeying to several dungeons to discover what has shaken Hyrule to its very core. During your mission to the Hebra Region, you will meet Tulin, whose mastery of the winds will aid you greatly in accessing these dungeons.

In this instance, the dungeon you will be heading to is the Wind Temple. A large ancient ship floating in the air above the Hebra region, you’ll be hopping from sail to sail of the surrounding ships to get to the main Ark.

Once there, you’ll discover that it is the source of the blizzard that has engulfed the Hebra Region, and why Rito Village is struggling to stay stocked with food and supplies. So, you’ll need to complete the Wind Temple’s puzzle to access the boss.

How to beat Colgera

Once you have bested the puzzles of the Wind Temple, you’ll finally be able to take on Colgera, a large icy centipede, and the source of the blizzard.

When the boss appears, you and Tulin will be thrown into the air thanks to the rising air current. Tulin’s gust abilities will be helpful when you need to reposition yourself quickly.

As Colgera circles the Wind Temple, you will notice that it has three icy segments on its underbelly. Those are your targets.

When up in the air with your Paraglider, take out your bow when you’ve got the perfect positioning. Time will slow down while you fire your arrows into the icy segments, but use large chunks of your stamina, so make sure you’ve got a decent-sized stamina wheel and manage it carefully.

The icy segments usually take around 2-3 shots to break and expose the weak point. However, using Fire or Bomb arrows will reduce this, allowing you to get to the target much faster.

So, before you head into the fight, make sure you have plenty of Bomb Flowers and Fire Fruit stocked up to fuse to your arrows.

After enough damage to the weak points beneath their icy exteriors, Colgera will fall and the region’s cold snap will finally thaw.
