MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded: Release date, maps, weapons, raid & more
You may want to know, when is Warzone and MW2 Season 2 Reloaded set to launch? Modern Warfare 2 is now on its second season after a lot of success with the game's initial release, and like the previous season, it's set to receive a mid-season update titled Reloaded which makes some changes and adds new content.

MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded: Release date
In a Call of Duty blog post about Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded, Activision revealed the update will be releasing on March 15, which is the halfway point of the current season. The update will become available just prior to 5 pm GMT (9am PST/12 pm EST/7 pm CEST).
MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded: New content
With Season 2 Reloaded comes a bunch of new content too, ranging from a brand-new map, to more game modes, and even a new weapon. Here's all the stuff being added in the next update
Raid episode 2
Click to enlargeYou can take control of Captin Price, Farah, and Gaz once again in a brand-new Raid episode where they are searching through Atomgrad to find a deadly warhead. Completing this Raid will unlock a Bad Boonie Operator skin for Price, which can be used on MW2 and Warzone 2 multiplayer modes.
New map: Himmelmatt Expo
Click to enlargeYou can experience a brand-new map in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, Himmelmatt Expo, a 6v6 map set in a European mountainside retreat. Activision released a full map guide too, which you can find here for more information.
More party game modes
Click to enlargeThere are three new game modes that will be available on the multiplayer playlists. These are:
- Drop Zone - A classic COD mode where you capture and hold the Drop Zone to call in Care Packages.
- All or Nothing - A mode where everyone is only equipped with throwing knives and a pistol with no ammo to start with.
- One in the Chamber - Begin the match with a pistol with one bullet and three lives. Earn a new bullet for every kill you get and try to survive.
New weapon: Tempus Torment
Click to enlargeThe Temous Torment is a new marksman rifle available in Season 2 Reloaded. It's strong at medium-to-long ranges, boasting a 20 round capacity, but with a strong recoil that requires a steady hand. It also shares many attachments with the M4 platform, so make sure to unlock them all to make the most of this new rifle.
Warzone third anniversary celebration gifts
Click to enlargeThere are seven free rewards that will be available in the in-game store that are themed around the different maps and seasons of Warzone so far. You can claim these by checking the store daily throughout Season 2 Reloaded.
Path of the Ronin challenges
Click to enlargeThe Path of the Ronin challenges are being expanded, shifting away from the Seven Virtues of Bushido toward a more combat-focused set of challenges, showing you can turn any weapon into a deadly tool. Completing these new challenges can earn you the Winds of Ash skin, the Bowing Blossoms skin, and a golden charm.
Shredder Operator
Click to enlargeMarch 22 will see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles villain Shredder added to the game as a new Operator. In addition to this, there will be three new weapon blueprints styled around the leader of the Foot Clan: the Oruku Shotgun, Saki Assault Rifle, and Steel Claws Dual Kodachis.
