Warzone's new Urzikstan map is bringing a huge amount to the table with the integration of Modern Warfare 3 in Season 1.

Not only will the Warzone community have a whole new landmass to explore and battle across, but Urzikstan will also be implementing a whole range of fresh gameplay changes.

These are going to completely transform the way Warzone plays, and the initial reaction from fans has been overwhelmingly positive.

So, let's dive into everything you need to know about Warzone's Urzikstan map and all the gameplay changes coming alongside it.

Do we know when Urzikstan will launch in Warzone?

As per the official blog post from Call of Duty, Urzikstan will "arrive in Call of Duty: Warzone in December as part of Season 01."

Sadly, that's all the details we have right now, but we'll update this section as we learn more.

Urzikstan map layout in Warzone

For starters, here's the layout of the Urzikstan map in Warzone courtesy of CharlieINTEL. As you can see, the location is covered in urban areas and plenty of buildings to secure power positions.

The lack of open space means there's going to be plenty of enclosed gunfights where players are forced to take aggressive skirmishes. This is exciting, as it means gameplay on this map is going to be fast-paced and action-packed.

Familiarising yourself with the layout of Urzikstan is a brilliant way to give yourself the upper hand when it finally launches in Warzone, so study it carefully.

Of course, next on the list is Urzikstan's POIs in Warzone, which are going to be essential for deciding your drop position and communicating with your teammates.

Over time, you'll get to know these locations on Urzikstan and figure out which POIs best fit your playstyle, as well as grant you the most success in the long term.

Here's the full list of Urzikstan's POIs in Warzone:

  • Levin Resort
  • Popov Power
  • Orlov Military Base
  • Seaport District
  • Urzikstan Cargo
  • Old Town
  • Low Town
  • Hardiqa Farms
  • Zaravan City
  • Zaravan Suburbs
  • Shahin Manor

Horizontal & vertical ziplines on Urzikstan

One of the most important aspects of battle royale gameplay is the ability to rotate, and Urzikstan is providing players with the tools to do exactly that.

The map features horizontal ziplines that connect various buildings and POIs together, allowing you and your squad to seamlessly transition between areas. Of course, this comes at the risk of being beamed by an enemy, so use them at your own risk.

On top of that, there are now also Apex-style vertical ziplines that propel you into the air, giving you the chance to travel long distances

New Warzone Gulag & chance of night vision

As you would expect, Urzikstan is bringing a new Gulag to the table and following countless requests from the community, it features an incredibly simple small three-lane map.

This replicates the feeling of the classic Gulag back in Verdansk and makes for a faster-paced 1v1 experience.

If that wasn't enough, every so often, there's a rare chance you get put into a night vision Gulag, making for a truly intense skirmish.

  • Stim Tactical boosts movement speed
  • Gas Mask counters Tear Gas
  • Red dots will appear on the mini-map for enemies shooting
  • Ghost Perk only works while moving
  • Gas Mask equipped manually
