The latest V Rising patch went live at 12pm BST (11am UTC/1pm CEST) and while it primarily added some new features for players to take advantage of, there are also some bug fixes and general improvements.

The biggest addition from the latest patch is the inclusion of the LAN Mode, which will allow people to play the game without an internet connection or host local networks to play with friends. They do note that they will continue to improve upon the LAN Mode throughout the early access period, so it may still have some issues. If you want to play with LAN Mode, check out the process from the official patch notes.

Another set of big changes pertains to the servers, especially private servers. Firstly, there is now an option to send server wide messages, and GPortal servers will now have warnings in the chat shortly before maintenance occurs. The Steam Cloud can also now store V Rising server history.

On top of this, there are server icons on official servers to help identify them, and a number of admin commands have been added to make the running of private servers easier. These are:

  • changehealthofclosesttomouse - This command modifies the health of the target unit/object closest to the admin's cursor, allowing admins to deal damage or heal targets.
  • changedurability - This command modifies the durability of equipped items. Note that it cannot be used to repair broken items that are not equipped.
  • addtime - This command adds up to 12 in-game hours to leap in time, affecting the current in-game hour and the respawn timers of units and objects. Use this command in quick succession to add more time. Please note that a server can never go back in time.
  • We also have a rundown of all the V Rising Merchants locations, as you will need to know where they are for the various wares they hold.

Bug Fixes

There are also a number of small and large bug fixes, which are:

  • Several fixes have been made to the "Authentication Error" that hindered players getting back onto specific servers.
  • Salvaging cloaks no longer returns the total crafting cost. Players can no longer make a material profit by crafting and salvaging certain cloaks in combination with the tailoring floor bonus.
  • Players can no longer place soul shards in containers, as they would despawn after a few hours. Instead, the game will now clarify that players need to build the soul shards within their castle to keep them. Players are also unable to hide soul shards in lockboxes.
  • Players can no longer send the same servant on multiple hunts by placing several thrones.
  • Castle floors will no longer disconnect from the Castle Heart when two players dismantle connecting floors simultaneously.
  • Players will no longer get multiple equipment buffs by equipping two weapons simultaneously under certain circumstances.
  • Some characters in Simplified Chinese, Korean, and Japanese used to display incorrectly at times. We updated the font used in the game to prevent this from happening.

That's all for the V Rising 0.5.41448 patch notes, and now you know what changes have been made to the game after the latest patch.
