The next-gen patch of The Witcher 3 is here at last for PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.

Although, PlayStation fans aren't sure how to unlock the new version. Here is all you need to know on how to get PS5 upgrade. 

How to get the PS5 upgrade

Thankfully, unlocking the next-gen version is very straightforward. To get The Witcher 3 PS5 upgrade if you own the game digitally, the version 4.0 update including the next-gen enhancements should be downloaded and installed automatically. If not, apply the update manually. 

To get The Witcher 3 PS5 upgrade if you own the PS4 disc, simply insert it into your PS5 and move your cursor over the game. Then, you should see a prompt for the free PS5 version appear on the right side version of the screen.

Claim it, and the PS5 version will start downloading. Just keep in mind that you will need to keep your PS4 disc of The Witcher 3 inside the console to keep accessing the PS5 version.
